God Is A Just God

Psalm 95

"Oh come, let us sing to the LORD!
Let us shout joyfully to
the Rock of our salvation.

Let us come before His presence with
thanksgiving;
Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.

For
the LORD is the great God,
And the great King above all gods.

In His hand are the deep places of the earth;
The heights of the hills are
His also.

The sea is His, for He made it;
And His hands formed
the dry land.

Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
Let us
kneel before the LORD our Maker.

For He is our God,
And we are
the people of His pasture,
And the sheep of His hand.
Today, if you will
hear His voice:

"Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion,
As in the day of trial in the wilderness,

When your fathers
tested Me;
They tried Me, though they saw My work.

For forty
years I was grieved with that generation,
And said, 'It is a people who go
astray in their hearts,
And they do not know My ways.'

So I
swore in My wrath,
'They shall not enter My rest.' " "

God is awesome and He deserves our highest praise! We call Him Lord, but are we willing to hear His voice and be an obedient people? We must hear God today, and be obedient today. We must learn from the past. Israel saw first hand all that God could do. He parted the sea, rained down bread from heaven. He delivered them from Egypt. They experienced all of this first hand and they still murmured and complained. They were full of doubt and unbelief. They STILL built graven images. God is a loving and patient God, but He is also a just God. A God that is true to His word. He continued to care for Israel, but those who murmured and complained wandered for 40 years and they did not get to enter the promise land. We need to be aware of the evil in our hearts that causes us to stray from God. God does not like sin. Even those who are born again and forgiven will give account one day to God. I don't know about you, but I would like to hear, " Well done my good and faithful servant."
